Session Summary: It's the Underdog's second day on Shadow, and the day starts with Seargent Asper's appearance at the ship, at about the same time that Wu returns. As agreed upon the previous day, she is allowed to board and inspect the cargo. This takes place without incident, and satisfied, she pays Eli in full before unloading it. The rest of the day is spent in pursuit of two goals: a mule and a job. Mansi and Runner head to the red light district a few miles north of the docks, while Eli, Wu and Lester head to a dive bar in the ports called The Alibi. At the dive bar, Eli meets with an old contact named Georg Foster. They talk business over hookah and Eli exits the bar the proud owner of a four-wheeler mule and a napkin with a potential business contact on it. In the meanwhile, on the other side of town, Mansi finds out that she's not at all cut out for dealing with people in low places and mistakenly entrusts John with the task of finding them a mule. He, in his turn, asks the wrong person and ends up lost and in the middle of a yard full of stubborn donkeys. Mansi eventually finds John and they head back empty-handed to the ship, where they're met with Eli and Lester, and pink Buddha-fied hubcaps.

Ethan Talbolt: The name given to Eli as a contact on Persephone. Unclear if this is an actual person or just a password.
Doris: Runs the day-to-day affairs of the porn/children's book store "Jabberwocky."
Edvard Melsen: A midget and owner of the Melsen Interplanetary Traveling Circus and Sideshow. He caught passage with Underdog to Kamchatka.
Damon Akechi: A.k.a. The Wolfman of Dayton, Damon works for Edvard and acts as his assistant.
Dix: A woman with harshly bleached hair and a harsher personality. Her face was scared in an accident. Not much else is known about her at this time.
The Black
Ninjas: Attacked the crew during the Machinal job, and one stowed away to finish the job later, but was defeated. Almost certainly responsible for the deaths of Machinal's passengers and crew. Nothing more is known about them at this time.
General Richard Wilkins: The only person listed on Machinal's passenger manifest whose body was not recovered. Whereabouts and welfare unknown.

Here is the transcript for the RP session on October 11, 2006. Note that this came from iChat, so screennames don't show up here.
Summary: Underdog set down on Shadow to drop off a shipment of unknown cargo to the Independents, and hire a mechanic. Unfortunately, Eli doesn't remember where to meet their contact, Julius. They get directions from a man name Lester Boothe, who says he's a mechanic and a traveler. Once the crew meets up with Juilus, they discover they won't be paid in full, because engine trouble caused the ship, and therefore the shipment to arrive late. Eli threatens Juilus to pay them, but Julius says that he can't, and offers instead to tell Eli what are in the crates. The crates are filled with an experimental alloy, stolen from the Alliance. Eli decides to get back to the ship and steal some of the cargo for himself. Unforuntately, the Independets get there first, and put a land lock on Underdog until Eli agrees to let them inspect the cargo. After a few phone calls to and from Lester, they negotiate a "settlement" for the issue.

After using my original cheat sheet for almost a year for The Signal, I've decided to upgrade it with more words, more expressions, and more filthy, filthy, insults. I've used as my resources the Chinese guide in Finding Serenity, the Firefly RPG book, Wikipedia, and numerous internet dictionaries, most of which are linked here.
