Ok. After some consideration, I'm still running Serenity tonight for whoever will show up, even if it's only one person. I'll think of a little side adventure that'll be worth your while.

Session Summary: Wu regains consciousness but he's by no means recovered. Mansi, Eli and John go follow the lead they got from Georg Foster, while Lester looks for the engine part he needs. Mansi, Eli and John are led to a no-nonsense, courteous woman by the name of Isidor Chemelwitz. She's into acquisitions. Her assignment for them is to steal an ancient clock (very expensive, very important) from the cruise vessel Machinal while it is on its way to the museum in Londinium. The route is a well-traveled shipping lane. Isidor offers 10,000 credits but Eli refuses the offer because he believes it is more than dangerous. They leave and head back to the ship, halfway toward which Eli tells Mansi to go back with John and get the disk with the information about the clock from Isidor. She does that and is handed the disk and a box with uniforms in it. Meanwhile Wu gets pickpocketed, which in turn leads to him getting laid. While Mansi is gone, Eli gets into a fight with a wino. Eli wins and even steals onion rings, but his ear gets badly bitten in the process.

Session Summary: While Eli thought he'd gotten a shiny deal with Georg Foster, and lifted off of Shadow feeling particularly joyful, the events that followed highlighted just how much the 'verse hates it when things go smooth. The fact that he'd leaked sensitive Independent information reached the ears of the wrong people, i.e., the authorities, who boarded the Underdog and produced an perfectly legal arrest warrant for Eli and a search warrant for the ship. While the ship is being searched and the rest of the crew deliberates on how to save Eli, an Alliance patrolboat approaches and engages the Independent patrolboat that came to arrest them. Eli offers his assistance to the Independent officer in exchange for the Underdog's freedom. The officer is hesitant but the Alliance weapons-fire is uncomfortably close, so he lets them go. Eli keeps his word, somewhat, before the Underdog turns tail and runs.
